Yes, exactly like a bumblebee, which only *appears* to violate physics (well, aerodynamics) to those whose understanding of those laws in woefully incomplete.

Violation of physics is either outright magic, or simply ignorance on the part of the beholder.

I love the throwaway reference to the federation and how "that's all gone now". What happened? How did it happen, and by who to whom?

World-building without any "as you know" infodumps :)

Given the humans being so pissed at Ziot that they attacked him on sight without any sort of provocation on Ziot's part, I think I can guess
